berkeley teen who was set on fire on an a-c transit bus. there was a march for sasha fleischman in oakland last night. police say he was targeted because he was wearing a skirt. his parents say he does not gender identify as male or female. family friends and supporters walked the route of the a-c transit bus fleischman was on in oakland, when the incident occurred last week. this is to say what is in our community that's causing young people to fall to the cracks and do horrible things to other people. a 16-year old boy has been charged as an adult in the attack. and the incident being treated as a hate crime. the city of san francisco is turning into gotham city

we now know the identity of the house is expected to vote today on gop-drafted legislation to allow insurance companies to sell existing individual coverage plans to current customers. president obama took a different tack yesterday, saying that americans who've lost their insurance coverage because of his health care law should be allowed to renew individual coverage plans ticketed for cancellation for a year what the house bill does is essentially gut the healthcare law, because it will allow individuals and companies to buy insurance outside of the health exchange. the white house says president obama would veto the measure.

district attorney's office is filing charges against a man accused of attempting to kidnap a child in lafayette. the incident happened last month -- behind the lafayette public library. 57-year-old ralph grohs is a transient who frequents that area. he is accused of trying to grab a child while walking down the street. investigators say, the child's mother intervened and prevented the kidnapping. the child was not injuried. grohs is charged with attempted kidnapping. he is being held in county jail. and is due in court for a preliminary hearing next thursday. police in lafayette are investigating a robbery at

the westamerica bank on mt. diablo blvd. around 9:10 thursday morning. after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot east on mount diablo boulevard. when officers arrived at the bank, they set up a perimeter, and conducted a search with a k-9, but could not locate the suspect. during the search, several nearby schools were locked down. the suspect is described as a man, about 5 feet 11 inches tall,160 pounds with short hair, fair complexion and clean shaven. he was last seen wearing a navy blue polo shirt, black jeans, light gray tennis shoes and a baseball hat.

a group of bay area nurses are headed to the philippines to provide some much-needed help to the victims of typhoon haiyan. here's video of the five nurses leaving s-f-o last night. they're all members of the "registered nurse response network" they will be in the philippines for a week. one nurse who lost loved ones in the typhoon says she hopes she can see her family, but trying to call them would be pointless. the nurses have also packed medication to make sure they stay healthy and can assist the victims in any way they can.

the district board will vote today on toll increase options. kron 4's jackie sissel has the details faughjackie? >>: it's a matter of when and by how much are they going to raise of those tolls. there's to meetings today and the bridge district. the first one starts at 930. the after that it will go to the board of directors to go over five different plans. there are five different plans that will increase tolls. three of those plans have up to pose for electronic pagers going up by $8 by 2018. is it to a dozen a was the last time they actually had a toll increase but they say they have $140 million shortfall and they need to raise these funds. we had a chance to talk to mary curry the spokesperson for the bridge. she talked about the potential increase a where the money goes.

we're getting a look at a sketch of a man who sexually assaulted a 19- year-old student at de-anza college in cupertino. the santa clara county sheriff's office released this image of the attacker based on the victim's description. the victim says she was in the women's restroom when the man entered her stall. she also says she thinks he is a student who may go by the name "johnny." he's described as white or latino, in his early 20s, around 5-foot-8, with shoulder-length dark brown hair and prominent acne around his chin. and a story you will only see on kron 4. the contra costa county district attorney's office is filing charges against a man accused of attempting to kidnap a child in lafayette.
